Kolarängen Preschool belongs to the Älta principal area located in the picturesque Älta. The principal area consists of three primary schools, six preschools, and a resource school. Your mission

In the role of childcare worker, you will collaborate with other childcare workers and a preschool teacher who leads the educational work. Together, you will design teaching that is enjoyable, educational, and fun for each child. You will either work with our children aged 2-3 years or our 4-5 year olds. We help each other between departments, and you will work with all ages according to the needs of the operation. You will actively participate in and drive the pedagogical development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the preschool curriculum. You will participate in planning and evaluating the work. You will have daily contact with guardians and participate in parent meetings and development discussions.

You contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for every child in the preschool. Every child should receive what they are entitled to - an education that is equivalent and of good quality, in a safe environment.

Your experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• secondary or post-secondary education as a childcare worker
• experience working as a childcare worker in preschool
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing
• experience documenting children's learning

It is an advantage if you have:

• good digital competence
• knowledge of and experience working with NPF diagnoses
• experience participating in development discussions and parent meetings
• experience working with language development methods
• experience driving the preschool's development and quality work forward

We offer

As a childcare worker at Kolarängen Preschool, we offer you a safe and stable preschool with openness to develop and engaged educators as colleagues. We are a small preschool with space for 55 children distributed across three departments and collaborate closely with each other. The preschool is nestled in the Kolarängen residential area, with a large and inviting yard. Outdoor activities are a significant part of the operation, and the proximity to the forest makes it easy to integrate outdoor activities into the program. In the kitchen, a chef prepares all meals from scratch. Children's language development as well as movement and motor skills are the prioritized areas for the school year. We work to ensure equality among the preschools in the Älta principal area and therefore have joint training and staff meetings with all six preschools in the principal area.
