What the position entails

In the role of support assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and stimulating environment where your passion, strengths, and skills will be encouraged and developed. You will be part of a team that shares your values and strives to make a difference every day.

The work involves following the participants during their workday together with your colleagues, where you, as a support assistant, provide support based on the participants' individual needs.

During the workday, you will both work in groups and independently with the participant.

The participants work on various tasks throughout the day, such as physical activities, creative projects, music, computers, social activities, etc.

Main responsibilities:

• You are flexible, responsible, and have good collaboration skills as you will work closely with other staff.
• You feel a strong commitment to your task and have a desire to develop our participants, yourself, and our daily operations together with us.

Qualifications:

• Upper secondary/post-secondary education that the employer deems appropriate for the assignment.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
• Experience working with people with disabilities and NPF.
• Training/experience from working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, visual impairments, and other disabilities.

Other merits:

• Experience with alternative and augmentative communication.

Move & Walk is a leader in Sweden in Conductive Education; a pedagogical-based system developed for children, adolescents, and adults with neurological disabilities. We offer several different types of services, all permeated by Conductive Education; adapted primary and secondary schools, training (rehabilitation), administration of personal assistance, and daily operations.
