Substitute Teacher in Preschool at Montessori Mondial

Montessori Mondial conducts a modern and results-oriented Montessori pedagogy with specially trained teachers and optimal learning environments. Montessori Mondial is part of AcadeMedia's primary schools.

Montessori Mondial consists of 11 primary schools, six of which have integrated preschools. The schools conduct a modern and results-oriented Montessori pedagogy and optimal learning environments. Montessori Mondial is located in Kristianstad, Malmö, Ystad, Linköping, Lund, Stockholm, and in August 2024, we opened Montessori Mondial in Lidingö. We are a K-9 school with about 150 students and a preschool with about 60 children located in premises previously belonging to Vittra Lidingö. The school is just a stone's throw from Grönsta gärde and only 10 minutes by bus from Ropsten subway station.

Your Role as a Substitute Teacher

As a substitute in preschool, you will replace regular staff during their absence, often on short notice the same morning. Together with other staff, you will be responsible for the group of children and participate in play and activities both indoors and outdoors. You will assist with dressing and undressing, participate in educational meals, and above all, be a present adult for the children. You will be part of a team and will always be with at least one regular educator.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has completed high school or childcare education
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Since we have many families with other native languages than Swedish, English is also good to know.
• Has previous experience working with children and youth
• Is positive and confident in the role of a role model
• Is ready to take responsibility and initiative and wants to collaborate with others
• Is prepared to work as you promise
• Enjoys being outdoors and sees nature as part of learning
