In Region Kronoberg, we are 6,500 people working for the best of the residents of Kronoberg – every day! We are responsible for healthcare, public transport, regional development, and culture in the county. Our goal is for our employees to thrive, grow in their professional roles, and be able to influence their workday.

The Medicine Clinic in Växjö is one of the largest clinics in Region Kronoberg. Here, specialized outpatient and inpatient care is provided in internal medicine, neurology, rheumatology, and allergology. At the Medicine Clinic, we want to create good conditions for the future. We stand for a robust operation, safe care, and proud employees. Together, we create the best medicine clinic!

On Medicine Ward 3, we primarily care for patients with diabetes, patients with endocrinological diseases, and nephrological diagnoses. Each specialty has a clinic, as well as a clinic for medical foot care. Many of our patients are multi-sick and have a great need for nursing and medical interventions, and we take a holistic responsibility to provide them with the best care.

With us, a safe and secure work environment is prioritized where we meet patients and each other with respect and care. To help you achieve this feeling, a good introduction is, of course, offered.

We are a workgroup of about 40 employees with different ages, experiences, and backgrounds. We care about an open climate where everyone is welcome and where we help each other. Teamwork is central to us, and we place great focus on communication even in stressful situations. The dialogue helps us distribute the workload effectively. We help and support each other in the unit and ensure that we do the best for the patients and the operation together.

We need to expand our group with more nursing assistants and are now looking for 2 part-time positions (approximately 80-90%). If you are curious about us, we welcome your application!

Region Kronoberg offers our employees several benefits because you are important to us.

  • Shoe allowance
  • Wellness allowance
  • Opportunity to train at our excellent training facilities
  • From 2026, we will offer you extra compensation for unsocial hours

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In our department, we work closely with patients and always in a team. Here, we collaborate with physiotherapists, dietitians, and other specialists to provide the best possible care.

We divide the patients into two groups. Each group consists of a team of three people, and in the team, you are responsible for 7-8 patients. As a nursing assistant, you have a key role in the nursing work and are the one who has the most contact with our patients. You participate in rounds and contribute your knowledge and observations to create safety and quality in care. Together with your colleagues in the team, you plan, prioritize, and carry out the day's work.

With us, you also get your own area of responsibility where you drive improvements, act as a representative, and share knowledge with your colleagues. Your ideas are important to us, and you will be part of both the unit's and the clinic's continued development.

The schedule is on a rotation of day, evening, and night shifts as well as 2 weekends out of 5. For the first few months, you will only work day and evening shifts until you get into the job and can start working nights.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and who wants to contribute your skills and engagement. Previous experience in emergency care is an advantage but not a requirement.

As a person, we see that you enjoy working closely with people and that you see the value in good collaboration. With us, you meet patients, relatives, and colleagues every day; therefore, your ability to collaborate and create trust in relationships is valuable and crucial to working here with us.

Communication is a key competence for you, and you are attentive, clear, and respectful in your way of expressing yourself. You can absorb new knowledge, apply it in practice, and share it in a way that strengthens the team and creates safety for the patients.

We value that you are responsible, proactive, and have a genuine commitment to ensuring that the patient's needs are at the center. The conditions for care change throughout the day, and you need to have the ability to adapt your work and prioritize your tasks anew. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

In your application, we would like you to attach,

  • A structured, clear, and updated CV
  • Grades, certificates, or professional qualifications
  • A personal letter

Warm welcome with your application!
