We are now looking for two nurses who are interested in a career in nephrology, combining their role between dialysis and the care unit. In a combined position, you get the best of both worlds: the variation of patient clientele in the care unit and the exciting part of acute care, as well as the continuity and adherence in advanced day care at the dialysis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the dialysis department, you will meet patients with acute and chronic kidney failure in need of dialysis treatment. There are 23 dialysis stations, and patients undergo three to four treatments per week. Here, you will work with a lot of medical equipment. You will have very close contact with kidney patients who come for life-sustaining treatment several times a week, often for many years. Working hours are day, evening, and weekend on a rotating schedule.

At Medicine Unit 3, patients with nephrological diagnoses, diabetes, and patients with endocrinological diseases are primarily cared for. Commonly encountered are also patients with general internal medicine diagnoses, allowing you to meet a variety of diagnoses. Here, we work in patient-centered acute care. Together with a dedicated team of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, service hosts, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and others, you will be involved in the care process for each patient.
