The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic provides highly specialized forensic psychiatric care where collaboration, both between different professions, with the patients themselves, their relatives, and other community agencies, is a key factor for success in care. We have both regional and national intake and are one of the country's five regional clinics. Most of the patients are referred by the court for care. The clinic also receives patients from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service who are in need of psychiatric care and treatment. The operation consists of 11 inpatient units and one outpatient unit, and about 430 people from various professions work with us. We also have a successful research operation that drives the development of evidence-based forensic psychiatric care with extensive national and international collaborations. With us, continuing education and further training for you as an employee is an important part of ensuring the quality of care, and our psychologists receive supervision regarding both treatment and assessment work to ensure safety and quality in their work. At the clinic, we develop and work with unique interventions, where, for example, virtual reality technology is used as a complement in care, especially in psychological interventions. Through our research unit, there is an opportunity for supervision in, among other things, specialist theses. RESPONSIBILITIES

The clinic is structured into different departments with somewhat different focuses (e.g., neuropsychiatric disabilities, psychosis, personality disorders, high security) where you as a psychologist work with one or more departments as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing staff, nurses, doctors, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, treatment pedagogues, etc.

As a psychologist, you are responsible for the psychological perspective and interventions. This means that you assess, treat, and investigate patients with a wide range of issues, often involving complicated differential diagnostics. You also supervise nursing staff, and we welcome your active participation in the clinic's ongoing development work towards evidence-based forensic psychiatric care. You will encounter patients with multifaceted, complex, and varying problems, including different types of mental illness and social issues as well as criminality. The lengths of stay are longer (about 7 years) in forensic psychiatry than in psychiatric compulsory care, which means that we have time to build alliances and collaborate with the patient to create sustainable long-term solutions. You will work closely with psychology colleagues, becoming part of a constructive and dynamic psychology group that is active in shaping the future of forensic psychiatric care. QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed psychologist. Experience in psychological assessment and treatment work within psychiatric inpatient care is advantageous. We prefer that you have 2-4 years of professional experience. If you have further training as a psychotherapist or specialist or have a doctorate in areas relevant to our operations, it is a valuable advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You should be confident in your professional role and able to take on challenges with humor and warmth. You should be able to collaborate with both colleagues and other professional categories. As a person, you should be able to work both independently and in a structured manner.
