Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment (Amf4) is looking for a shooting range chief based in Gothenburg Garrison.
Main Responsibilities
The Garrison Unit (GarnE) at Amf4 is primarily a supporting unit for other units within Gothenburg Garrison.
As a Shooting Range Chief, you will be part of the training and shooting range section (ÖS) based in Gothenburg, but you will also work at other locations within Gothenburg Garrison.
Your overall task is to provide training units exercising on shooting ranges, training areas, and educational facilities with the best and safest training conditions possible.
Your main responsibilities include managing operations and all related tasks within the area of Amf4's ground-based training and shooting ranges.
The tasks require a high degree of independence and strong social skills. The role also involves ensuring that operations within your organization and the activities conducted on the shooting range comply with applicable legislation and regulations issued by the Armed Forces. You will often have contact with units from different parts of the Armed Forces as well as other authorities and municipalities, which requires good social competence.
You should be able to collaborate and lead craftsmen during work on shooting ranges.
You should be prepared to participate in and support unit exercises while keeping the needs of the units in focus. Documentation, development of guiding documents, administration of booking systems, and monitoring of environmental permits are natural parts of the job.

- Sågebacken training and shooting range
- Skredsvik training area/shooting range
- Bråts training field
- Gothenburg Archipelago shooting range
- Sisjön shooting range
- Säve training field
- Käringberget
Qualifications
- Approved specialist officer exam, OR 6
- Driving license B
- Meet FM physical requirements (approved within 6 months)
Meritorious
- Driving licenses C, BE, CE
- Computer skills - Office package
- Driving certificates (e.g., ATV, wheel loader, Ltgb, L-car, etc.)
- Trained ammunition clearance officer.
- Ability to establish risk areas for commonly used weapons such as: ehv, ksp, grg, grk, grenade launcher, and explosive services.
- Completed FUSA/SUSA or experience as a shooting leader
- Completed training in GEO-SE, maps
- Completed overseas service

Other
Work location: Gothenburg. Travel in service occurs, mainly within Sweden. Since operations may take place outside regular working hours, working hours may shift to evenings/nights and weekends.
Start date for the position is by agreement.
Salary: Individual salary setting applies.
