Job Responsibilities
As an investigation strategist with us, you will play a key role in developing and driving issues that make public transport more attractive and accessible for the residents of Västmanland County. You will work both strategically and operationally to analyze market trends and develop products, pricing, and sales channels, as well as create offers that meet future needs. In addition to pricing and ticket issues, you are expected to contribute to other assignments that improve public transport in the region.
You will closely collaborate with other departments within the Public Transport Administration, such as IT, marketing, and finance. In this role, you will cooperate both within and outside the region, with municipalities and other parties to jointly develop ticket assortments and pricing. The goal is to create favorable conditions and make it easy to travel by public transport.
Your main tasks:
- Develop and implement strategies for ticket products and public transport in the county.
- Analyze products, sales data, and customer behaviors to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with pricing, campaigns, and product development in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Unit.
- Contribute to the development of digital solutions for ticket sales and customer interaction.
- Ensure that the ticket assortment aligns with political goals, legislation, and customer needs.
- Participate in regional and national collaboration forums regarding ticket and pricing systems.
- Develop collaboration with other public transport actors to optimize ticket products and sales channels.
About the Workplace
The position is located in the Planning and Development unit within the Public Transport Administration in Region Västmanland. The administration employs about 90 staff members, of which seven employees and one unit manager work in this unit. We are situated in new premises centrally in Västerås, close to Västerås Central Station. You will be part of a competent and dedicated team, including investigation strategists and traffic planners. Everyone in the team works on traffic development with a focus on making it even more attractive to travel collectively.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree in marketing, economics, sales, or another similar education deemed equivalent for the position. We expect you to have at least three years of experience in strategic work within areas such as pricing, product, or sales, including work with data and needs analysis. It is advantageous if you have experience working on projects in collaboration with others and with change or project management. Experience working in a similar organization or politically governed organization is beneficial. Since the job involves many points of contact and collaboration with others, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is also beneficial if you can read and understand documentation in English.
