Court Administrator at Falu District Court
Falu District Court is one of the country's 48 district courts. The court handles criminal cases, civil cases, and matters related to the southern part of Dalarna. Approximately 60 people work at the court in various professional categories; judges, clerks, administrators, and security guards. We are co-located with the Administrative Court and are situated in modern premises in central Falun with good transport links.
About the Position
As a court administrator with us, you will work alongside your colleagues in the case unit that prepares cases and matters. You are expected to work independently, take initiative, and make your own decisions within the assigned delegation. You are also expected to share your knowledge and experiences with other administrators, even if you primarily work remotely. In addition to your administrative colleagues, you will work closely with the court's lawyers in the preparatory work. As an administrator with us, you will have a central role and work with almost all types of cases and matters handled by the district court. This means that you will handle all the tasks normally performed by court administrators at the district court. The pace of work is often high, which means you must be able to handle stress and manage a large workload while quickly shifting focus if urgent matters arise.
The position is designed with the possibility of a special agreement, which means that after a 14-day introduction, you will work on-site two days a month and have the opportunity to work remotely the rest of the time. Start date is February 1, 2026, or by agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period.
Qualifications
You should have extensive and well-regarded experience working as a court administrator. You should be almost fully trained, meaning you should be able to work efficiently with most types of cases and matters handled by the district court from the start. You should be able to propose preparatory measures in cases where an experienced court administrator would be expected to do so. You should be outgoing and have experience mentoring others, with a strong willingness and ability to share your knowledge and experiences. Since you have the opportunity to primarily work remotely, you must be able to see and utilize the technical possibilities available to perform your work and keep in touch with your colleagues. In such cases, you must view the geographical distance to your nearest manager and colleagues as a challenge that can be managed and bridged, not as an obstacle. For you, it is natural to contribute to a positive atmosphere in the workplace.
The employment places high demands on collaboration skills, responsiveness, sense of responsibility, flexibility, efficiency, and accuracy. To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you uphold democratic values and the state values that govern the operations of Swedish courts.
Since you represent the court externally, you must be able to instill confidence, manage varying workloads, and handle demanding contacts. During periods of high workload, it is important that you can structure and prioritize your work and also help your colleagues do the same.
As an experienced and seasoned administrator, you are expected to take on the role of a reliable support for both the organization and your colleagues.
Experience in business development and procedural matters is an advantage.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
