Community Developer at Hyresgästföreningen Region Mitt
Every day, the Tenants' Association, its elected representatives, employees, and members contribute to improving housing for people. We have been doing this for many years, and we want to continue advocating for tenants' interests, rights, and opportunities to influence their housing in the future.
We now need reinforcement and are looking for a community developer for the Tenants' Association Region Mitt.
Your mission
As a community developer, you play an important role in developing our movement. The main task is to increase people's engagement. You support our members and elected representatives in various ways to jointly develop their housing area; to create housing influence, safety, and community. Your mission includes developing cooperation with housing companies, municipalities, and other organizations to broaden our organization and reach new target groups. The position involves planning, following up, and reporting on activities, as well as working with agreements and project applications. Since financial reporting may occur in the role, it is required that you have knowledge of economics and experience working with financial documents. You will also participate in the professional development of elected members. Working hours are primarily during the day. Some evening and weekend work may occur, as we work with elected representatives.
Your background
We are looking for someone who is social, has an easy time engaging and inspiring people, and who has the ability to meet people with respect and openness. You need to be unpretentious, creative, innovative, and full of ideas. Important qualities are that you can transform initiatives and theory into practice and encourage others to contribute ideas. You have experience in driving projects and see opportunities in diversity. For everyone working at the Tenants' Association, it is essential that you share our values and have a commitment to the issues we advocate. In the role of community developer, you have:
- A university degree or equivalent competence
- Relevant work experience
- Experience from non-profit organizations is an advantage
- Education and/or experience in project work is an advantage
Our offer to you
We are a value-driven organization with a strong sense of community and good employment conditions. We care about our employees having a good and pleasant work environment. Here you have the opportunity to develop and grow. Collective agreements, flexible working hours, the possibility of hybrid work, a generous wellness allowance, and occupational pension are some of the benefits we offer. With us, you will collaborate with colleagues you can have fun with and learn from.
Application
Welcome to submit your application via our website www.hyresgastforeningen.se (http://www.hyresgastforeningen.se). Under the heading “About us” you will find “Work with us” where you can send your application. Please submit your application by December 8, 2025. We are happy to receive your application as soon as possible as we may conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement. We apply a six-month probation period. The workplace is located at Wallingatan 18, Borlänge. The position includes some travel, so a driver's license and access to a personal car are required.
For inquiries about the position, please contact Regional Manager Anna Lööf Hedh at 010-459 15 41.
Union contacts for Handels are Jani Lokka at 010-459 15 88, and SACO Emelie Lindström at 010-459 15 04.
The Tenants' Association is divided into nine regions across the country. The work and needs may vary depending on the geographical area. All regions coordinate the efforts needed for their respective districts, and all expertise is gathered in the form of lawyers, negotiators, and business developers. As an organization, we are passionate about everyone having the right to good housing at a reasonable cost.
Region Mitt consists of 52 municipalities in four counties: Örebro, Värmland, Sörmland, and Dalarna. In the region, we have about 64,000 members, about 1,200 elected representatives, and about 100 employees. The region coordinates the internal resources needed to create a residence with safety, influence, and community for tenants. Among our employees, we value a democratic value base and previous experience of working in a non-profit organization.
