Stiernhööksgymnasiet is beautifully located by the shores of Lake Siljan and is a high school with approximately 500 students. It is a unique high school with proud traditions and a student body from all over Sweden. The school has a documented high degree of goal fulfillment with very good educational quality. The school offers programs such as construction and civil engineering, economics, electrical and energy, natural resource management (with specializations in animal care, equestrian studies, and agriculture), natural sciences, social sciences, as well as four introductory programs. The school also has adapted national programs for high schools; forestry, land and animal, as well as property, construction, and building. Additionally, the school offers national sports education (NIU) in equestrian sports and bandy, as well as local sports education (LIU) in various sports. The school has a student dormitory with over 130 accommodation places, as well as food production within the framework of agricultural education. Parts of the production are served in the municipality's kitchens. Thus, Rättvik has Sweden's most locally produced school meals.

Do you want to be part of developing a school with good goal fulfillment, a pleasant environment, and dedicated staff? Welcome to Stiernhööksgymnasiet!

About DKL

Through Rättvik Municipality and Stiernhööksgymnasiet, which is the host organization for Dalarna's Competence Center for the Food Chain (DKL), we are driving a long-term effort to strengthen Dalarna's food chain – from farm to table.

DKL is a regional initiative for the future food system. We bring together education, research, businesses, and the public sector for a sustainable, innovative, and secure food chain – from farm to table. Through education, innovation projects, and preparedness efforts, we strengthen competence, resilience, and growth throughout Dalarna.

DKL operates based on Dalarna's food strategy 2030 and gathers all actors within the food chain. Through education, development efforts, and projects, we strengthen the region's food production, preparedness, and sustainability.

About the assignment

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable food systems and desires a role where you can coordinate, organize, and develop an operation that makes a real difference for Dalarna's future food supply. You will play a central role in translating DKL's operational plan into concrete results. This involves contributing to establishing new educational programs, initiating innovation and testing projects, strengthening food preparedness, and building long-term networks between businesses, educational actors, research, and authorities throughout the county.

You will have a leadership role for DKL's operations. This means your role will serve as a supportive function to the projects and their project leaders, acting as a sounding board and guiding, coordinating, and following up on the work so that projects can be run efficiently and in line with the organization's goals and timelines.

You contribute to creating good collaboration within the team, with effective communication, joy at work, and cooperation across project boundaries, while ensuring that the existing and new knowledge within the team is utilized in the operations.

An important part of the assignment is to drive DKL's communication strategically – to spread knowledge, highlight results, and make Dalarna known as a role model in sustainable food development. You ensure that the organization's work is visible, understandable, and accessible to businesses, political decision-makers, educational actors, and the general public.

You report to the principal of Stiernhööksgymnasiet, who is the responsible manager for the operation, as well as to DKL's steering group, which has the strategic responsibility for the operation. The steering group for DKL consists of representatives from Region Dalarna, the Farmers' Association (LRF Dalarna), and Rättvik Municipality. The steering group is responsible for monitoring the operation's goals, finances, and development, as well as ensuring that the work aligns with Dalarna's food strategy 2030.

Your main tasks

  • Coordinate and support DKL's projects and processes and be a supportive resource in reporting and follow-up.
  • Be a coordinating force for the projects that sees synergy effects and collaboration opportunities within the operations.
  • Ensure that DKL's work follows established goals within competence supply, innovation, and sustainable food development.
  • Be responsible for DKL's strategic communication – plan and implement information efforts, disseminate results, and strengthen DKL's profile in the region.
  • Develop and lead collaborations between businesses, research, educational providers, and public actors.
  • Initiate projects that contribute to sustainable growth, technological development, and competence enhancement in the food chain.

We are looking for you who

  • Are passionate about sustainable education and development within the green sectors and have a genuine interest in the future's sustainable food systems.
  • Have a relevant higher education, or other education and/or professional experience that the employer deems equivalent and relevant.
  • Have experience in project management or process management within development or educational activities.
  • Have good financial knowledge, preferably with experience in budgeting, follow-up, or project reporting.
  • Have a very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and preferably in English.

Other

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. At the time of a possible interview, a valid extract from the police record, according to the Education Act, must be presented.
