About the role

In the role of Occupational Health Engineer, you will be part of our local Health & Safety team that supports the entire Swedish organization in the work for a healthy and safe work environment - from production and warehouse to the head office and the commercial organization. You will work both strategically and operationally, with a strong presence in the field, close to production where it really happens. As an expert in occupational health, you are the person the organization turns to for knowledge, advice, and technical expertise in the area. You have an important role in driving issues, developing processes, and being a support for both management and employees - always with the goal of strengthening the safety culture and contributing to a safe and sustainable workplace.

Your main tasks will include:

• Supporting the management team and employees in planning, organizing, and maintaining a safe work environment
• Implementing legislation, internal requirements, and standards into local routines and instructions
• Driving risk assessments and work environment analyses to identify, prevent, and eliminate risks
• Coordinating and following up on internal and external audits
• Being a role model for our safety culture - coaching, inspiring, and creating engagement around safety behaviors
• Supporting and leading investigations of incidents and accidents and ensuring learning and improvement actions
• Identifying and implementing training initiatives within the work environment area
• Preparing reports, follow-ups, and communication materials related to work environment and safety

The role reports to the Health & Safety Manager and is based at our site in Jordbro.

We would like you to have:

• Academic education in occupational health, safety, or equivalent experience
• Experience working as an occupational health engineer or in a similar role
• Good knowledge of Swedish occupational health legislation
• Experience working with management systems and certifications
• Technical expertise in the field of occupational health and the ability to provide qualified and strategic advice to the organization's various functions
• Ability to lead and drive projects, change, and coach others
• Good analytical skills and experience using data to drive improvements
• Fluent in Swedish and English
