Security Specialist in Physical Security

About the Position

As a security specialist focusing on facility security, you will primarily be the unit's representative in Svenska kraftnät's facility projects, where we build and renew our infrastructure. You will support the projects in matters concerning physical protection and ensure that the projects consider the requirements for the design of physical protection at Svenska kraftnät's facilities. In this role, you will contribute to the projects by:

• Developing technical descriptions for physical security for each facility project
• Participating as technical support regarding physical security in the facility projects
• Reviewing and evaluating technical documentation (construction, building, and as-built documents) concerning physical security against requirements
• Actively participating in meetings related to the projects
• Conducting site visits and being the project's representative during inspections
• Handing over completed facilities to management

You will also be involved in the work of developing governing documents, technical descriptions, and security technical processes. Monitoring and following up on physical protection is also part of the tasks.

In your role, you will have many points of contact both internally within the authority and externally with suppliers and connecting parties. You will have the opportunity to develop within the security technical area and work closely with knowledgeable colleagues with various specialist competencies. As a security specialist, you will handle multiple projects simultaneously, so it is essential that you can structure, prioritize, and work independently. Physical protection includes perimeter protection, video surveillance, access control systems, intrusion alarms, as well as mechanical and electromechanical protection.

Work will be done together with other security and technical specialists, both employees and consultants, within the framework of the process to develop the transmission network and the requirements for physical protection.

About You

Mandatory Requirements:

As a security specialist, you need to be structured and have the ability to work methodically even under high pressure. You are confident in your skills and can make well-founded decisions that help maintain security in critical situations. The role requires you to be collaborative, as you will work with several actors within and outside the organization to achieve common security goals. Additionally, you are relationship-building and create trust through a professional and respectful approach – a crucial quality for establishing long-term and secure collaborations.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in security or security technology, or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer. You also have:

• Driver's license B
• At least five years of work experience in physical and technical security
• Experience in developing or reviewing governing documents, technical descriptions, or other types of requirement texts
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of:

• Experience working in a government agency
• Experience in the electricity supply sector
• Experience working with physical security in accordance with security protection legislation
• Experience working in project form
• Certifications for security systems
