Within the field of pediatric medicine, we treat children and young people up to 18 years of age. At the Children's Cancer Center, we care for children with oncological and hematological diseases from all over southern Sweden.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for four nursing assistants to the Children's Cancer Center in Lund. Two of the positions are permanent and the other two are parental leave replacements for approximately 1.5 years.

As a nursing assistant, you will work in pairs with a nurse and share responsibility for the care of the patient, with a strong focus on teamwork. The nursing assistant's duties include various checks on the children such as pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, and capillary blood tests. Urine measurement and various sample collections are also included.

With us, employees have the opportunity for further education, and the department also conducts internal training. We have an ethics group, supervision, and debriefing if something occurs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement.

We would prefer that you have a few years of experience in the profession. Previous experience in pediatric oncology care is highly meritorious. Work experience in pediatric care, oncology, or intensive care is also seen as an advantage.

You want to contribute with knowledge, joy, and have a passionate interest in caring for seriously ill children. You enjoy working in a team and as a person, you are proactive, flexible, and meticulous. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and can work independently when required. Great emphasis will also be placed on personal suitability as well as a genuine interest in pediatric care and that you can work based on our values.
