Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer who wants to be part of our driven team. In this role, you will work on designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for our advanced and safety-critical systems. You will be an important part of an agile development team where you collaborate closely with colleagues from various disciplines to ensure high quality, reliability, and safety in our products. The work is conducted according to requirements-based development processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for various platforms, focusing on safety-critical systems and DO-178 standards • Collaborate with hardware engineers for effective integration between software and hardware. • Participate in requirements analysis, ensure traceability, and contribute to our requirements-based development processes • Test and troubleshoot to achieve high reliability, performance, and compliance with safety requirements • Work agilely with sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives • Stay updated on technologies and trends in safety-critical embedded development

Requirements for the Position:

• Documented experience as an Embedded Software Developer or similar role, preferably within safety-critical systems • Relevant education in computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar field • Very good knowledge of C and Python. • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems (RTOS). • Familiarity with DO-178 and requirements-based development methods • Experience with version control, preferably Git and/or Dimension

Meritorious

• Experience in software development for safety-critical systems in areas such as aviation, medical technology, or defense • Knowledge of security protocols and best practices for safety-critical environments • Experience with hardware description languages (HDL), such as VHDL or Verilog • Experience with Embedded Linux or other embedded operating systems • Knowledge in model-based development, such as MATLAB/Simulink
