The Leisure Unit, (Youth Leisure, Association Leisure, and in the future also swimming pool), is led by the head of Leisure.

Description

We are currently looking for an engaged leisure leader with experience in working within youth center activities, projects, and events for different groups of young people who wants to help develop our youth activities further in Götene Municipality.

Within the Culture and Leisure Sector, we offer activities and events for all ages in Götene Municipality, and we see great opportunities to expand collaboration between units to drive culture and leisure work forward. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to help develop new working methods and collaborations and who wants to work for the development of the entire Culture and Leisure Sector.

The Culture and Leisure Sector currently has about 39 employees across our various operations; Youth Leisure, Senior Leisure, Culture School, Library, and Cultural Area. Youth leisure activities are currently conducted in the municipality's four urban areas and mainly in the evenings.

Responsibilities

As a leisure leader, you are an important part of the team working within Youth Leisure. In the role of leisure leader, you work together with your colleagues within the open leisure activities based on a promoting approach where you help create an active, developing, and meaningful leisure time for the children and youth of Götene Municipality. In this assignment, you will work with the entire Götene Municipality as your field of work, where youth centers are one of several meeting places. The activities are based on planned activities and events in both indoor and outdoor environments, in cooperation with schools, student health, and social services.

You collaborate with several units within the Culture and Leisure Sector and carry out activities, planning, and larger events.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained leisure leader or social educator, or has another education/experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have good experience working with young people in some form of preventive social work or leisure activities.

A driver's license is a requirement as you will be working in the urban areas of Götene, Hällekis, Källby, and Lundsbrunn.

Documented experience of meeting and working with children and young people with special needs and neuropsychiatric variations is considered an advantage. Experience from municipal operations is also desirable.
