Within our organization, we meet all ages, including children, youth, parents, individuals with dependencies, substance abuse or social psychiatric disabilities, victims of violence, and individuals in need of financial support. We work with authority exercise, assessed assistance measures, as well as preventive and advisory measures to reach people early.

Our organization is transitioning to a first-line social service with a single entry point for citizens, meaning that all cases are initially handled by a new common reception unit. Investigations and further measures then take place in a second line. This approach aims to make social services more accessible and effective for everyone in need of support. Collaboration is a central part of our working method as we recognize the importance of supporting each other to achieve the best possible results for those we serve.

We are a sector driven by a genuine interest in our mission, where we aim to create conditions for equal and equitable living conditions in Skövde through knowledge-based interventions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an experienced/senior social worker for our unit for investigations of children and youth. The position involves working with investigations according to SoL, LVU, and LSB as well as following up on LSB cases together with adult caseworkers. Your role in the unit will be based on and characterized by the extensive experience you are expected to have.

In Skövde, social services are organized to provide the best possible support for both employees and families. When a report or application leads to an investigation from the reception, our unit takes over the investigation work. The work is done closely with colleagues, supported by the senior social worker, SUA, and our social administrators.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and extensive experience who wants to make a real difference for children and youth. You have a good ability to create and maintain trusting relationships and meet children, parents, and families with respect, attentiveness, and commitment.

Your interest in children's development and your understanding of different life situations enable you to provide support based on each child's unique needs. Your role will be a secure and experienced caseworker, who can step in and provide support in complicated cases as well as mentor new employees with less experience.

You thrive in a role where case management, documentation, and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life, and you find it easy to express yourself both verbally and in writing. We value your willingness and courage to think innovatively and contribute to the development of our working methods.

A driver's license (B) is required. Experience with Pulsen Combine is an advantage.
