Support Pedagogue for Service Housing

Description

The housing is located in a standalone building at ground level with a large garden and a generous patio. During the summer months, we spend a lot of time outdoors with our tenants. The outdoor environment invites both simple planting and barbecue dinners, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. We provide support and service to a broad target group with intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities.

Our work is based on the individual's needs and resources, as well as each person's right to an independent and meaningful life. The organization has a stable foundation with clear structures, good collaboration, and a strong pedagogical approach. Our weekdays are a mix of calm and full speed. The housing consists of a total of nine apartments, six of which have common areas such as a large kitchen, living room, and laundry room directly adjacent to the apartments.

About the Role of Support Pedagogue

As a support pedagogue, you have a central role in the organization. You combine daily care work with pedagogical responsibility and actively contribute to developing methods, approaches, and documentation. You support colleagues in the pedagogical work and ensure that interventions maintain high quality and comply with current legislation and guidelines. There is an opportunity for mentoring support from an experienced pedagogue when you are new with us.

Your Tasks Include:

• Pedagogical support in planning, implementation, and follow-up of interventions.
• Responsibility for social documentation and implementation plans.
• Guidance, training, and support to colleagues in the pedagogical approach.
• Active work with participation, self-determination, and communication.
• You will be part of a network with other pedagogues and collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other professionals.
• You plan and lead operational meetings in consultation with the unit manager.

Qualifications

For the position of support pedagogue, a post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities is required, encompassing at least 200 YH credits, 120 university credits, or 60 university credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer considers equivalent.

Communication and documentation are important parts of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

It is an advantage if you have worked as a support pedagogue and have knowledge of low-arousal responses and pedagogical approaches.
