Description

Vårvindens youth center is a recreational activity that aims to provide children and young people in the district with a rich and meaningful leisure time, focusing on the age group 10 - 20 years. We are now looking for a substitute for our team for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Our meeting place is characterized by safety and equality where everyone is welcome. Important areas we work with include youth participation and influence as well as youth learning and development. Through collaboration with other recreational organizations, we strive to provide young people with more opportunities.

You will work to conduct an open activity and some targeted activities from a promoting perspective. We work towards making the district a safe youth environment, and you are expected to work closely with, among others, social services and schools in the area. In this role, it is important to work with and think critically about norms, including LGBTQ issues and human rights.

The work is based in the district's youth centers/meeting places, but part of the activities will be conducted from other locations such as camps and trips.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education as a leisure leader or other education focused on working with youth in a promoting manner. It is also of interest if you have training or knowledge in project management, music, or sports and associations.

You should have previous experience working in a youth center or other youth environments/meeting places. It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience working with KEKS methods, the Logbook as a tool, and if you have experience collaborating around safety such as SSPF and other activities. In the work, we use digital tools, so you should have some IT skills. A B driver's license is a requirement.

In this role, it is important that you can collaborate with others both internally and externally and that you can understand and follow basic routines. You are pedagogical and structured in your working method, and we believe that you have a professional approach to your work, as well as being solution-focused and good at creating good and sustainable relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone with good communication skills, and knowledge in marketing is an advantage.

About us

The Social Administration of Hisingen is part of the social services in the City of Gothenburg. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support in individual and family care, social emergency services, help with addiction, and in integration issues. We also work with recreational activities and preventive work around, for example, public health work, community planning, local safety work, and integration issues.
