Crime Prevention Specialist Focused on Children and Youth

The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Social Services Sector includes 4 operations; Special housing/municipal health and medical care, Ordinary housing/personal assistance, Disabilities, and Individual and family care.

The Family Support Unit is part of Individual and Family Care in Stenungsund. The unit consists of Family Therapists and Parent Advisors, who work with both interventions in the form of personal support in open forms and interventions without individual needs assessment. The unit also includes Family Counseling, school social workers in the School Social Team, as well as the coordinator and parent supporters of the Family Center. We are now strengthening our team with a Crime Prevention Specialist focused on children and youth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To get a good basis for how our operations should organize and build the work forward, we have mapped the current situation and analyzed norm-breaking behaviors and crime among children and youth in Stenungsund.

Together with engaged managers and colleagues, you will shape the assignment based on current knowledge and needs. Through a team-based approach, our ambition is to build work at all levels: universal, selective, and indicative. Are you ready to join our efforts?

We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in building structures for crime prevention work concerning children and youth and simultaneously working operationally with the target group.

The work will be carried out in close collaboration/in teams with colleagues within the social services' children and youth area. We expect you to have close cooperation both internally within the municipality as well as with external actors and authorities.

You will work cross-professionally in close collaboration with others in the area, where prioritized cooperation is in our SSPF work (collaboration between school, social services, police, and leisure).

Together with our partners, you will build contexts and sustainable structures to meet current needs. You will be involved in work at all levels: universal, selective, and indicative. You will work operationally with the target group, engaging, building relationships, providing support interventions, and guiding to other help when needed. You will contribute to ongoing situational assessments and competence-enhancing efforts in the area. Together with other actors, you will participate in planning and implementing interventions during high-risk days/evenings.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant education deemed equivalent by the employer.

You have extensive competence and experience working with children, youth, and their families and are comfortable in meeting the target group. You have competence and experience in investigating and mapping assignments and leading groups.

You value collaboration and have good experience working with actors such as schools, student health, leisure activities, and the police.

We value your ability to work flexibly (sometimes unpredictably). You should easily move between an overarching strategic coordinating position and operational work at the individual and group level.

As a person, you are responsible and independent, with a very good ability to create and maintain relationships. To succeed in the assignment, you are curious, proactive, brave, empathetic, and attentive.

You work in a structured manner and find it easy to plan and prioritize your tasks.

We would like you to have a systemic perspective - to see wholes and the child/youth in their context. You have a solution-focused and salutogenic approach - you need to see opportunities in changes.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

You master the Swedish language at a good level in both speech and writing.

A driving license (B) is a requirement.
