About the Job

We are now looking for three social workers for the Adult Reception unit.

At the reception, you will work with public authority duties. As a social worker with us, you will have the responsibilities involved in case management, which means receiving, investigating, and assessing reports and applications, as well as making decisions, implementing, and following up on interventions. We primarily work with applications and reports related to housing issues, domestic violence, and substance abuse problems. We use evidence-based methods to support our assessments, such as FREDA, AUDIT/DUDIT, ISLAND, etc.

Your tasks also include informing, motivating, and empowering individuals to take their own initiatives towards change for an independent life. A key part of the job involves internal and external collaboration with various authorities and service providers. Case management is based on the Social Services Act and other legislation governing public work.

We apply national regulations, guidelines, routines, and the city's common provisions that govern the operations. For methodological support and management, there are four senior social workers in the unit. Process supervision is included.

Qualifications

Three of our employees are moving on to other assignments, and we are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You are familiar with the legislation and guidelines that govern the operations. You recognize the importance of a legally secure case management process and understand what it means in practice. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with public authority duties according to the Social Services Act, focusing on LVM and domestic violence. Experience with LVU and applying evidence-based assessment methods is also advantageous. Some overtime may occur, requiring a high degree of flexibility.

As a person, you have a very good ability to collaborate and work together with others, as it is important for individuals to receive the right support for the right interventions at the right time. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. Furthermore, you are flexible in your thinking and actions and can easily adapt your work methods based on changed circumstances and new information. You take responsibility for both your own and the unit's joint work and are committed to ensuring that the work is completed and carried out in a legally secure manner.

As a social worker, you work independently but also closely with senior social workers. It is important that you have the ability to work together with others to create and contribute to a good working environment. You are expected to have good collaboration and interaction with your colleagues within the social administration Nordost, as well as in meetings with external actors. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
