Professional Galaxy is looking for a System Developer for our client.

Assignment Description:

The consultants will be part of a small but growing team responsible for the operation and further development of Sveriges Radio's observability platform.

The platform is built on cloud native technology on a Kubernetes platform, and we use systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Mimir. We work user-centered and build tools that make a difference for our users. Our user group is a mix of senior developers, system technicians, and operations staff, all with different backgrounds but the same fundamental need to understand when errors occur and how our systems are performing.

The consultants will join this team and are tasked with being involved in the early stages of designing a management structure for the newly established observability platform, as well as contributing their expertise on how we can further develop the technology and product to achieve our goals.

The consultants are expected to be self-sufficient with skills and experience that enable them to come up with innovative solutions that can increase the team's pace. The assignment is time-limited with the purpose of laying a foundation for regular staff to take over.

Special Requirements/Criteria:

• Senior cloud native platform developer
• At least 3 years of experience in developing/implementing Kubernetes-related applications (such as Mimir, Prometheus, Alloy)
• At least 3 years of experience in developing/implementing observability tools/observability processes in cloud native environments
• Must be accustomed to working within agile processes and in a decentralized team that often works across teams/digitally

Evaluation Criteria:

• The consultant has a strong drive to share their expertise with others in the team.
• Understanding of how a NOC/SOC/Operations Center works and acts in general
• Experience working with Prometheus
• Experience working with Mimir
• Experience working with Alloy
• Experience working with Grafana
• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Experience working with Backstage

• Be open to learning new technologies and be generally technically curious and exploratory
• Experience setting up self-service pipelines for developers (CI/CD)
