Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each customer is unique, and your tasks vary based on the customer's needs. You respect the customer's self-determination and privacy and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

We are now looking for personal assistants for a man in his 50s living in Mjölby. The positions are approximately 80% with working hours between 07:30–00:00, as well as 24-hour shifts from 07:45–07:45 with 7 hours of night duty. There is also an opportunity to work as a substitute.

Our customer lives with an intellectual disability, autism, and visual impairment (blindness) and needs support in his daily life. He enjoys being outdoors, swimming, and dining out, but also feels comfortable at home where he likes to listen to music and relax. One day a week, he participates in daily activities. For him, it is important that everyday life is safe, clear, and filled with activities that create structure, joy, and well-being.

As a personal assistant, you support the customer in his daily routines – everything from personal care and communication to cooking, activities, and household chores. The work is varied and involves both practical tasks and social interaction, where you play an important role in creating a meaningful and safe everyday life.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• is engaged, attentive, and responsible,

• has patience, humor, and a positive attitude,

• preferably has experience working with individuals with autism or visual impairment,

• but above all has a genuine desire to make a difference in another person's life.

Previous experience in care and support is an advantage, but the most important thing is that you are reliable, secure, and enjoy working closely with people. A driver's license is required, as you will be driving the customer's car during work.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the positions are approximately 80% with the possibility of substitute work. Working hours are from 07:30-00:00 and 24-hour shifts from 07:45-07:45 with 7 hours of night duty.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation is according to collective agreements.

Start date: January 1, 2026.
