Circle Leaders Wanted at ABF Sörmland

The Workers' Educational Association (ABF) is Sweden's leading study association. We are politically independent, but our values align with the labor movement. ABF is, and will be, a force for increased equality and a more participatory democracy. We believe in learning and education and encourage further development. Our values are based on our ideological program, which serves as our compass in everyday life.

ABF's activities are divided into about fifty local branches, with ABF Sörmland operating in the municipalities of Eskilstuna, Strängnäs, Nyköping, Katrineholm, Vingåker, Trosa, Oxelösund, and Gnesta.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ABF Sörmland is now looking for several new circle leaders on an hourly basis for our activities in various locations in Sörmland. The courses are expected to start in early 2025. As a circle leader, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge while developing your own leadership skills. We believe that you enjoy meeting new people in a personally enriching context. Join us and become an important part of folk education in Sörmland.

We are currently looking for individuals with experience in: languages (Italian, Spanish, English - beginner and intermediate levels), music creation, choir leading, drama pedagogy, DJ school, genealogy, cooking, sewing, painting, photography, computer and mobile school, Office package, etc.

If you have other knowledge that we are not currently seeking, you are welcome to submit an application anyway. Describe the subject you can teach and suggest a course outline.

At ABF Sörmland, we offer courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends, depending on the course and target group.

QUALIFICATIONS

You need to have good knowledge in your subject, but you do not have to be an expert.

It is important that you, as a leader, possess the skills to plan and conduct a course over several sessions.

We at ABF Sörmland will provide materials and facilities tailored for the activities.

All who lead circles through us must have completed a basic training for circle leaders, which we provide and is free to attend.

A driver's license and car are advantageous, but not mandatory. However, you must be able to travel to the course locations independently.
