The Adult Education (Vux) includes basic and upper secondary education, special education for adults (Lärvux), and Swedish for immigrants (SFI). We have approximately 1350 study places at the basic and upper secondary levels.

We are located at Drottninggatan 12 in fantastic premises just a stone's throw from the travel center in Eskilstuna, with good commuting opportunities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this position, you will teach healthcare courses at the upper secondary level within adult education. Your focus will be on supporting and teaching students at their current level. As a healthcare teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on governing documents. You will assess and validate students' knowledge. There is a close collaboration with other colleagues in the team, where you will actively participate in the school's development work.

You will collaborate broadly on healthcare and social care issues, including study and career guidance counselors and other departments. As a healthcare teacher, you will prepare, plan, and follow up on students' workplace learning (APL) and make assessments based on the set goals for the student's APL period. Close collaboration with the Healthcare and Social Care College is also included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed and approved training as a nursing assistant. If you have completed training as a nurse, we see that as a positive. It is advantageous if you have a teaching license or are a trained vocational teacher with a focus on healthcare and social care. We would like you to have experience teaching according to the current curriculum and experience mentoring students during APL. Since you will be teaching and assessing in various healthcare courses, we prefer that you have work experience in healthcare and social care. Experience teaching at the upper secondary level or within municipal adult education is a plus. You will adapt more quickly to the job if you have experience using a learning platform in your teaching, preferably Its Learning.

This position suits you if you can motivate, understand, and engage students. You plan, teach, and assess independently. In the teaching role, you are driven and skilled at adapting your leadership to the situation. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working on development.
