JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently looking for you, a native language teacher in Finnish, who believes that:

• the student's right to quality native language education is important
• all students should be given the same opportunities to meet the school's set goals

You will be part of a group with other native language teachers/study guides who meet every other week for collegial learning and development.

In the role of a native language teacher, it is important to:

• be able to work independently
• plan your own teaching
• be responsible for grades and assessments
• report attendance
• develop collaboration with other educators
• meet the individual needs of students
• actively participate in professional development
• maintain good contact with the principal at each school and relevant educators

The scope of the position is based on the number of students currently and the degree of employment may therefore vary if the student base decreases or increases.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying:

• must be qualified to teach native language through a Swedish teacher's degree or a validated foreign teacher's degree.
• must have completed at least 30 credits in your native language, have very good knowledge of the Swedish language (at least SAS 3), and be able to communicate fluently in speech and writing.
• must have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and knowledge of Swedish society.

Meritorious:

• You have experience working in schools.
• You have good knowledge in mathematics, social studies, and natural sciences.
• You have a B driver's license and access to your own car as part of the position is assigned to different schools in the municipality.
