JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special education teacher, you work with students who need special support to succeed in their studies. You teach students individually, in groups, or in the classroom. You also contribute your expertise in the special education field, for example through assessment support, mapping, and action plans. You also provide guidance and support to guardians, teachers, and other colleagues.

As a special education teacher, you are an important part of the student health team, which together with you consists of a total of five special education teachers, a counselor, a school nurse, and a social pedagogue. The student health team also includes the deputy principal and the principal. You will also collaborate with social services and other external actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and a teaching license with the authority to teach in grades F-3. It is a plus if you have ongoing or completed training as a special education teacher. We see that you have experience teaching in grades F-3. Experience working as a special education teacher is beneficial.

To thrive in this role, you need to be a clear leader with the ability to adapt your leadership style to the classroom situation. You are good at building relationships and have a desire to develop your skills, preferably in collaboration with colleagues. You are an engaged employee who creates safety and trust by listening to the various needs of students.
