Your Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical and Production Coordinator for a long-term and socially significant infrastructure project. (Employed by Edge of Talent, working at the client) The assignment involves overall responsibility for production planning and coordination of technical and production issues in one of Sweden's most complex and extensive railway projects.
As a technical and production coordinator, you will be a key person in the project's management structure. You will lead a team of technical experts and ensure that the implementation is planned, coordinated, and followed up according to the agreed goals and strategies.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Developing and managing the implementation strategy and implementation plan as a basis for design and production.
Coordinating technical choices and working methods for rock, structures, track, geotechnics, and BEST facilities.
Driving the work with production planning, including logistics solutions, utility relocations, and coordination with surrounding activities.
Contributing to procurement strategy and planning of contracts.
Participating in successive calculations, risk and uncertainty analyses.
Leading and coordinating the project's technical experts and support resources.
Collaborating closely with project managers and other support functions to drive the project towards implementation.
You will play a central role in shaping how the project is realized, from the planning phase to construction start and production.
Qualifications (Mandatory Requirements)
To succeed in this role, you need to meet the following:
Master's degree in engineering or equivalent higher education with a technical focus.
At least 8 years of experience as a project manager for BEST projects (track, electrical, signaling, telecommunications) in the railway sector, with a project budget over 500 million SEK.
At least 2 years of experience in production management as a contractor, supplier, or manufacturer.
At least 5 years of experience as a leader for requirements setters or experts in technical areas such as rock, structures, track, and geotechnics.
At least 7 years of experience in project management in early phases (e.g., site investigations, option studies, or planning phase) for railway projects.
Desirable Experiences
It is highly meritorious if you also have:
At least 8 years of experience in project management within the railway sector, preferably with reference projects.
Experience in production planning in railway projects.
At least 2 years of experience leading BEST work in existing track environments.
Location
The position is based in central Stockholm. Work takes place both on-site at the client (approximately 60%) and remotely by agreement.
Timeline and ScopeStart: January 2, 2026
End: December 29, 2028
Scope: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Extension possibility: Up to 1+1+1+1+1 years according to applicable contract terms.
