We are looking for a driven and meticulous accountant to join our finance team. As part of our organization that is on an exciting journey of change, you will have the opportunity to work in a developing environment where you contribute to improving and strengthening our financial processes.

The team you will be part of consists of our CFO, two finance assistants, and two accountants. Together, we are responsible for the company's entire financial flow – from ongoing bookkeeping and reconciliations to analysis, reporting, and the development of routines. We have a close and supportive work culture where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and improvement work are in focus.

About the role As an accountant, you will be responsible for ongoing bookkeeping, year-end closing, and reporting. You will work with one of the companies but closely with the entire finance team and other internal departments, reporting to the company's CFO. An important part of the job is to ensure correct and efficient routines in our financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing bookkeeping
• Ensure that all accounts are correctly reconciled in the monthly closing.
• Assist in reporting to owners.
• Reconciliation and reporting of VAT, AGA, and other taxes.
• Prepare materials for audits.
• Actively participate in ongoing improvement and development projects within finance and systems

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in finance
• Practical experience in ongoing bookkeeping, preferably from a medium or large company
• Ability to work accurately and structured as well as good teamwork skills
• Proactive and flexible with a desire to contribute to continuous improvements
