Your New Job

At Ljungarum School F-6, we are looking for a lead teacher focusing on after school care, who will play an important role in the school's and school area's joint development work to enhance students' goal achievement. You will primarily work with teaching in after school care and tasks related to teaching. In your teaching, you will provide good examples and be a positive role model for the team in everyday pedagogical work.

As a lead teacher in after school care, you will work with the school management to develop the pedagogical activities of after school care based on the curriculum and initiate projects that strengthen students' learning, safety, and well-being. You will play a key role in leading collegial learning within after school care and serve as a mentor for new educators. Your assignment also involves being proactive in the systematic quality work based on your own experience and scientific principles.

The position means that in addition to your role as a lead teacher, you will be part of a team working together to create an equitable after school care environment where students' learning and development are the focus. You will share your experiences and enjoy working in a goal-oriented environment based on curiosity and playfulness among our after school students. You will also be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities that are stimulating and developmental for the students.

You will consciously work with the complementary mission of after school care - a significant part of all students' goal achievement. You see your collaborative role as an important part of students' education. Working based on the student's entire school day is a given for you.

As a lead teacher with us, you will also be part of a professional network with other lead teachers in the municipality.

Welcome to Us

The Ljungarum school area F-6 is located in the southern part of Jönköping. The school area consists of Ljungarum School F-6 and Strömsberg School F-3. In total, the Ljungarum school area has about 350 students and the staff consists of approximately 60 people. At Ljungarum School, there are about 250 students in grades F-6. Ljungarum School F-6 also has a special program in the form of communication classes.

Your Competence

You have worked as a certified teacher focusing on after school care for at least four years. As a lead teacher, you collaborate well with management and develop co-leadership at the workplace and are a good ambassador for both the workplace and your employer. You are flexible and can work in different teams and across the municipality. Basic IT skills are required, and you use ICT as a natural part of teaching.

• The form “Principal's/Manager's First Statement”. To be filled out by your principal/manager (not applicable if you are already certified in Jönköping municipality)
• The form “Principal's/Manager's Second Statement”. To be filled out by your principal/manager, unless you are deemed sufficiently skilled (not applicable if you are already certified in Jönköping municipality)

The central education administration will contact you if you proceed to the certification process after the application deadline.

Good to Know

The assignment is a three-year appointment, where you have a permanent position as a teacher as a base.

Before hiring new employees for our teaching positions, we must ensure that there is a valid teaching certificate. Therefore, we ask you to attach a current teaching certificate obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.
