Welcome to apply for the position of special educator in Adapted School.

The Adapted School operates at Trälleborg School for grades 1-6 and at Gröndal School for grades 7-9, as well as at Finnveden High School. You will be placed at Trälleborg School and primarily work with adapted primary education.

As our current special educator faces new challenges, we are looking for someone who wants to continue the units' special educational and student-promoting work by putting their own stamp on the work.

Responsibilities

The position is in the adapted school where you collaborate with educators and student assistants to support students who follow the adapted school's curricula. The students have various physical and neuropsychiatric disabilities.

Do you want to help develop and lead the operations in the adapted school together with a special educational team, principals, and EHT? Do you want to be part of a team that includes special teachers, school psychologists, principals, assistant principals, counselors, and school nurses? Do you want to drive a promoting student health effort in an intercultural school with wonderful and sometimes challenging students? Then you should apply for this position.

We are looking for someone who has a strong drive and commitment, who is a qualified special educator and has broad knowledge of the latest research on special education and its success factors. You enjoy working in a team, while also being self-driven and motivated by a genuine interest in student learning. You are well-planned, structured, and place great importance on implementing structures at an organizational level to achieve successful student health work that supports all students' learning and development. You create trusting relationships with colleagues, teachers, students, and guardians.

In our quality work, we are currently focusing on accessible learning environments and language-developing methods. Our special educational team has been established during the school year, and you will play an important role in developing and implementing this.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Special educational training.
• Knowledge and experience of alternative augmentative communication (AAC), e.g., sign language.
• IT skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
