We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join an international HR team. You will be part of Compensation & Benefits and Payroll, responsible for leading and coordinating payroll management across multiple countries. The role involves ensuring high quality, efficiency, and compliance while creating a smooth experience for employees.
You will report to the Head of Compensation & Benefits and Payroll and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. We offer a hybrid model where both on-site collaboration and remote work are important for success.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of payroll specialists in accurate and timely payroll processing
- Ensure that payroll calculations for salaries, deductions, bonuses, and benefits are correct and comply with regulations
- Oversee payroll reconciliation and reporting in collaboration with HR and finance
- Manage escalations and complex payroll issues, providing guidance and solutions
- Overall responsibility for the payroll process from start to finish
- Extract and compile information from various systems into the payroll system
- Prepare and submit tax declarations, reports, and year-end documentation
- Ensure accurate reporting for internal audits and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with external payroll providers and authorities as needed
Qualifications
- Experience with HR systems, preferably Workday
- Knowledge of payroll systems, particularly Kontek
- Very good knowledge of Swedish payroll processing
- Post-secondary education in HR, Payroll, or Administration
- At least 3–5 years of experience in operational payroll work
- At least 2 years of experience in a leading or coordinating role
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Location: Gothenburg (hybrid work possible) Scope: 100% Full-time Assignment period: October 15, 2025 – October 15, 2026
