Personal Assistant Wanted for Meaningful Role
Do you want to make a difference in someone else's life? I am looking for a dedicated and responsible person who wants to work with me in my daily life. You will play a crucial role by supporting me in most everyday tasks.
As a personal assistant, you will not only make a difference in my life but also have the opportunity to develop your own skills and experiences in a meaningful and varied job.
Who am I:
I am an energetic woman in my 50s with a big heart, a sense of humor, and a passion for gardening. I have chosen to leave traditional assistance companies and become my own employer to gain more control over my assistance while being able to offer you a better salary.
Due to a progressive neurological disease, I use a wheelchair, which affects my motor skills, speech, and stamina. I spend a lot of time at home, making it important for me to have a pleasant and tidy environment. Order and cleanliness are highly valued by me.
It is important for me to keep up with my training, such as strength training at the gym, swimming at the pool, and cycling. This is not only good for my health but also helps me feel good both physically and mentally.
I live in Karlstad with my 15-year-old son every other week and a cat.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support me in daily tasks and activities, such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, shopping, laundry, and activities outside the home.
- Work independently during your shifts.
- Part-time between 50%-85% on a rotating schedule. The position includes varying shifts, which may involve both holidays from morning to evening as well as part-time shifts. Work is scheduled for both weekdays and weekends, Monday to Sunday.
Who are you?
- You have a positive outlook on life, a sense of humor, and the ability to be adaptable when circumstances change. You possess the maturity and life experience required to understand and support me, especially on days that may be tougher than others.
- You are attentive and have the ability to adapt to different situations. Understand when to support me, when to step back, and when you need to take initiative without my guidance.
- You speak, read, and understand Swedish very well. My illness affects my speech and comprehension, so it is important that you can understand me and express yourself clearly.
- You are in good physical health, as the job involves transfers and some heavy lifting.
- You see what needs to be done and are proactive in keeping my daily routines flowing.
- You enjoy traveling, both within Sweden and abroad, and see this as an added bonus in the job.
- A driver's license is required. I have my own car, which means we sometimes go on errands or outings.
- You see the long-term potential in this role and want to be a stable and reliable part of my life.
We offer you:
- A meaningful and varied job where you make a difference every day.
- Competitive salary, additional compensation for unsocial hours, and vacation pay on top of the base salary.
- Insurance through FORA.
If you feel that this sounds like a role where you can contribute with both heart, a positive attitude, and competence, we look forward to hearing from you!
