Your Responsibilities

The starting point for you as a leisure teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a leisure teacher, you see the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the leisure center's and school's activities collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

Your Workplace

Tallbodaskolorna is an F-6 school with approximately 430 students, where students in grades F-3 attend Ekdungeskolan and students in grades 4-6 attend Tallbodaskolan. Tallbodaskolorna has a joint school leadership, administration, and student health, and about 60 employees work at Tallbodaskolorna.

The leisure center's activities are located at Ekdungeskolan with three age-homogeneous departments and a 3-6 track. At the leisure center, all departments work with a common annual wheel with themes where different skills are trained and developed. In the leisure center's activities, there is a conscious effort to develop soft skills to create favorable learning environments where students can grow as individuals.

Who You Are

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications in leisure education. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a degree certificate or completed education as a leisure teacher. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a leisure teacher.

It is advantageous if you have qualifications to teach music and/or sports and health.

It is a requirement that you have experience as a teacher in a curriculum-based leisure center, through internships or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have worked as a leisure teacher for at least one school year.

In your role as a leisure teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and carry out the work in a way that supports the student's language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a leisure teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that are relevant to your professional role.
