Your Responsibilities

The work will be conducted within the EU project 6G-LEADER. The selected candidate will work on topics related to the semantics of information and targeted communication within 6G systems.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will primarily conduct research. Teaching may also be included in the responsibilities, but no more than one-fifth of the working time.

Your Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of postdoctoral researcher, you must have obtained a PhD or have a foreign degree that is assessed to be equivalent to a PhD. Your degree must have been awarded no later than the time the employment decision is made.

It is advantageous if your degree was obtained no more than three years before the application deadline for this position. If there are special reasons, candidates who obtained their PhD earlier may also be considered, for example, due to various types of statutory leave.

We are looking for candidates with a PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or mathematics. Previous experience with European projects is a plus but not a requirement. A solid publication record is expected, with at least three high-quality IEEE or ACM journal publications as the first author.

The successful candidate is expected to have a strong mathematical background, particularly in stochastic modeling, optimization, and reinforcement learning; previous experience with EU projects is advantageous.

The Department of Computer Science (IDA) was founded in 1983, but our roots go back to the early 1970s. It is one of the largest computer science departments in Northern Europe. Our research covers a wide range of areas, from fundamental computer science to applied fields. The extensive research also influences our undergraduate and graduate education, leading us to offer courses in several civil and engineering programs, as well as programs in innovative programming, cognitive science, and statistics. About the Position

The position is a fixed-term employment for two years with the possibility of extension for a total employment period of no more than three years. The postdoctoral position is full-time.
