The Building and Environmental Administration in Mölndal works on behalf of the Building Committee and the Environmental Committee. Our goal is to be the authority we ourselves want to meet, to make it easy to do the right thing, and to provide the best possible service. About 60 people work in the administration, led by a head of administration and five unit managers. The administration has premises in the city hall in Mölndal's center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a supervisory officer who wants to contribute to the unit's continued development work.

Your main focus will be on supervisory matters within the Planning and Building Act. The handling concerns all case categories and means that you will have close cooperation with all case handlers in the unit, which currently consists of ten building permit officers/building inspectors and one supervisory officer.

The handling includes investigation, communication, and decision-making. You will prepare statements and service letters with decision proposals for the Building Committee. You will also be involved in drafting statements for the court.

The work involves many contacts with the citizens and businesses of Mölndal.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in law or community building. Experience in authority exercise within PBL is not a requirement but is meritorious. Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement for the position.

You are accustomed to driving your own processes, have good administrative skills, and plan and structure your work effectively. You enjoy working in a team and have a responsive approach. As a person, you are calm, stable, and relationship-building. You communicate clearly and pedagogically, ensuring that messages are conveyed while also reminding and following up.

You have a holistic view, consider multiple perspectives, and have a good ability to make correct assessments regarding the best interests of the operation. It is important that you have a great understanding of the political dimension of the work. We are looking for someone who sees opportunities in changes and contributes with engagement and competence.

The work involves outward-facing activities, so we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We always keep the citizen in focus and therefore want you to have good collaboration skills, a high service mindset, and be engaged and thorough in your service delivery.
