The park operations in Bollebygd are part of the technical and service administration. The technical and service administration also includes streets, water and sewage, waste management, cleaning, meals, and property. Together we plan, implement, and manage areas and facilities around the municipality.

The park operations manage the municipality's green areas, planting, bathing places, urban nature, and forests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a park worker, you work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. The tasks are very varied and largely determined by the seasons. Responsibilities include lawn mowing, weeding, planting, pruning trees and shrubs, clearing urban nature, tree felling, and maintaining and cleaning bathing places, playgrounds, and public areas.

The focus of this position will be to ensure that the municipality's grass areas are mowed and trimmed, as well as weeding. However, other tasks may also be added depending on your background and interests.

You are responsible for keeping most of the municipality's green areas well-mowed according to what has been decided, as well as maintaining the machines. You should have an easy time reading maps to navigate to all the areas that need to be mowed and trimmed. The total area of the surfaces is approximately 180,000 m2 and is located in the central part of Bollebygd and in Töllsjö.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have completed high school and are interested in park maintenance. A green education is advantageous, such as high school education supplemented with a one-year gardening education, horticulture high school, or work experience that can be assessed as equivalent. A technical skill and familiarity with machinery are necessary for the job, as well as being flexible, proactive, responsible, meticulous, and having good organizational skills. The work is physically demanding at times.

A B driver's license for manual vehicles is required; having B96 or BE is an advantage.

As a park worker, you often work closely with the municipality's residents and influence their everyday environment. Therefore, we place great importance on social competence towards the public, within the organization, and in other contacts to provide good service and a professional approach.
