About the Department

The Intelligence and Security Department (A2) at Skaraborg Air Wing consists of about ten employees. The department conducts environmental analyses, security protection analyses, and continuously works to maintain a situational picture regarding security threats and the implementation of security protection measures. Both civilian and military personnel work in the unit, solving tasks in normal situations as well as in the event of an attack against Sweden. The security service contributes to maintaining adequate security protection at the wing, which includes training the wing's personnel and conducting control activities.

Main Responsibilities

Your main task will be handling, monitoring, and administration of security clearance. You will also work with the department to develop guidelines and regulations to ensure that the security service at the unit functions as well as possible. In addition, you will carry out other administrative tasks and write reports within the framework of the department's areas of work.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• Driver's license B, manual transmission
• Swedish citizenship

Meritorious

• Completed security training developed by the Armed Forces or other adequate civilian security training
• Experience in military or civilian security protection service
• Experience in security clearance within the Armed Forces or other authorities
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and directives in the security area

Employment form: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period

The position requires physical ability, travel for duty, and participation in training and exercises in the war organization.

Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Armed Forces' combined resources for transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel in the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
