The Skogome area is the largest prison in Sweden for men convicted of sexual offenses in security class 2. There is also a smaller psychiatric care unit. Skogome Prison opened in 1957 and is located at Lillhagsvägen 301 on Hisingen in Gothenburg. The prison currently has about 250 employees distributed across several different professional groups and competencies. In an ongoing renovation and new construction, the prison will gain over 800 places, more modern facilities, and larger spaces for treatment and activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will have a central role in the program operations at the prison. You will distribute tasks on behalf of the Prison Inspector. The position includes coordination of treatment programs, support for program leaders to achieve the prison's treatment goals. You will be responsible for carefully monitoring and managing treatment queues, and performing analyses that support goal fulfillment. You will play a key role in collaboration with both prison staff and external parties and need to have the ability to conduct lectures and meetings as needed.

The role also includes contributing knowledge, perspectives, and assessments on behalf of the manager and collaborating with other functions on treatment-related issues. In-depth knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy, a strong understanding of the objectives and quality assurance of treatment programs, and the ability to adapt and motivate clients are crucial for reducing recidivism.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is expected to have a professional approach, the ability for self-reflection, be attentive to undue influence, and be able to support both the manager and colleagues. We see that you are proactive, enjoy solving problems, and can come up with new ideas. You need to have good communication skills, be pedagogical, and understand the importance of clarity. Since it involves conducting lectures and being a representative for the program operations, you need to be comfortable speaking in front of a group. You need to have good analytical skills as you will be producing various statistical analyses each month as a coordinator. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To be considered for the position, you must have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• Good computer skills
• Completed and approved program leader training
• Knowledge of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's treatment programs
• Competence and in-depth knowledge in treatment issues
• Experience of client-facing work within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service or another part of the justice system
