Expedition and Security Guard at Gothenburg District Court

The Gothenburg District Court is one of Sweden's largest district courts with approximately 250 employees. The court has six judicial departments and one administrative department. Our mission is to maintain a legal and efficient administration of justice of high quality. The work here is significant and fulfills one of society's most important functions.

The court is located in modern premises near Ullevi in central Gothenburg and is an open and modern workplace with dedicated employees. There is constant work underway at the court to develop its operations.

Job Responsibilities

As an expedition and security guard with us, you will provide service in various ways to the public and internally at the court. You will work in a team of approximately 10 colleagues who share the tasks performed by the court's caretaker service.

The role includes manning the expedition and actively working on internal service and security, as well as providing technical assistance with alarm systems, video interrogations, and other technology during hearings. The role also involves serving as a security guard in public areas and in the court's security check.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education. You must have a valid security guard permit. Additional education in a relevant area for the position is considered an advantage.

The role requires you to be familiar and comfortable working with IT support and new technology. You must have a good command of the English language both verbally and in writing. Additional language skills are a plus.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. To succeed in the job, you need to enjoy interacting with people and working in a service-oriented role. You must be very cooperative and able to interact with others in a way that builds trust in the Gothenburg District Court, demonstrating good judgment.

You should be calm, confident, and able to handle stressful and unexpected situations. As the unit shares a number of tasks and must be able to adapt at short notice, a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to have a flexible and unpretentious approach to rotating between tasks are required.

Employment Conditions

There is one or more positions available. The positions are permanent and/or temporary. All positions are full-time. Any permanent positions begin with a six-month probationary period.

Evening and weekend work may be required.
