As the position is a summer temporary job, you need to be available for work between weeks 25-33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and enjoyable activities in good time! Whether you want to work days, evenings, or nights, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

Working as a guard is perfect for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard at our office in Gothenburg, you will become part of a close-knit team. The length of shifts varies, but they range from 6 to 12 hours, either day or night. Working every other weekend is common.

As a stationary guard, your primary task is to provide security to one of our clients by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. You often work at the entrance of a larger company, checking those who enter and exit, but you may also perform indoor/outdoor patrols and video surveillance. The tasks vary from client to client. You work independently and under your own responsibility, often both day and night.

As a stationary guard in a retail environment, you work to prevent theft and damage to goods in the store. You also contribute to a safer atmosphere for staff and customers. Here you will work in an environment with significant fluctuations in pace and great variation in how the days can look. You will work both indoors and outdoors. You typically work days/evenings.

You will, for example,:

• Conduct stationary surveillance in stores
• Respond to alarms, conduct store checks, and intervene in cases of crime or other incidents.
• Patrol the area you are assigned to, indoors/outdoors.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driver's license B
• You need to complete a guard training part 1 by May 26, 2025, at the latest. (Several training sessions are available, starting from January 2025.)

It is an advantage if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civilian or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you, as an applicant, are an independent person who trusts your own abilities, quickly understands problems, and solves them creatively. You have a systematic and careful approach with an eye for detail. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
