We are now looking for you to our cozy Vaxholm nursing home. Forenede Care Vaxholm nursing home consists of three properties with a total of 83 apartments distributed over seven units. Five units are intended for people with cognitive disabilities.

The facility is located close to green areas and good transportation. It takes about 40 minutes by bus from central Stockholm and about an hour by Vaxholm boat.

Job Responsibilities

The Life Living team ensures that users at the Vaxholm nursing home receive meaningful activities based on a salutogenic & person-centered approach.

As a Life Living Inspirator, you are responsible for planning daily activities, as well as enhancing the experience with that little extra. The users should be able to maintain their interests, but you should also inspire them to find new interests that bring well-being and quality of life. Being a value-based leader is part of your mission.

You are involved in creating a network with various organizations so that users can participate in community life. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for seeking contacts with foundations, volunteer organizations, and the municipality to drive various projects within the area of responsibility.

Life Living staff are responsible for the team with activity representatives, and together with the users, you develop various forms of stimulation and sources of joy. You have overall responsibility for supporting the activity representatives and contact persons so that you together with the users can find what is quality of life for the individual.

You work from a person-centered and rehabilitative perspective and have the ability to engage with and apply relevant research-related work methods. You should pedagogically convey new methods to the rest of the staff.

Of course, we work with a team spirit and step in to help where needed.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a colleague for full-time/part-time employment for a permanent position with a probationary period.

To be considered for the position, you need:

• A university degree in health pedagogy or nursing assistant with documented experience working as an activity coach in elderly care.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
• Driving license B

We also see it as an advantage if you have previous experience in elderly care and dementia care.

To thrive in the position, you are engaged and care about your fellow human beings while being good at building good relationships and being service-oriented. With us, we work in teams as well as independently, so it is important that you are comfortable in that environment.

Before we offer employment, you will need to show an unopened extract from the police records. We also request a valid Swedish work permit, such as a passport or approved work permit from the Migration Agency.
