About the position

This position is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process is conducted through Bravura and you will be employed directly by the Construction Industry's Professional Board.

About the company

The Construction Industry's Professional Board (BYN) is a central player in the construction and civil engineering sector with the mission to ensure that the industry has access to well-educated, skilled, and future-ready employees. By coordinating and developing vocational training, BYN contributes to strengthening the supply of skills in the construction and civil engineering industry.

BYN works closely with high schools, adult education, companies, and authorities to create a solid education that is complemented by practical elements in workplaces. This ensures that students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also real work experience. At BYN, you will work on important issues related to vocational education alongside engaged colleagues in a changing industry.

BYN actively promotes equality and inclusion within the construction industry, and it is important that you share these values. We welcome your contributions to drive these issues forward through your work.

Responsibilities

As an advisor at the Construction Industry's Professional Board (BYN), you will have a central and versatile role focused on supporting individuals, companies, and educational actors within the construction and civil engineering sector. You will serve as a knowledge resource and contact person in matters related to vocational education, career transitions, apprenticeship systems, and the industry's skill needs. Your work will involve, among other things, guidance for individuals who want to educate themselves or change careers within the industry, as well as advice on matters concerning vocational certificates and the vocational education agreement that BYN manages.

In this role, you will closely collaborate with colleagues in the team as well as BYN's partners, educational coordinators, companies, authorities, and trade and industry organizations. Collaboration takes place within the framework of various projects where you may also be responsible for producing well-founded decision-making materials for BYN's working committee, board, or other collaborative partners. An important part of the role is to ensure the quality of educational materials and ensure that the training meets the industry's needs. The role requires self-leadership, the ability to structure and present information, and to work communicatively both in writing and verbally. You will participate in meetings, represent BYN in external contexts, and maintain ongoing contact with partners such as educational providers.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing

• Background as a vocational teacher in the construction industry, practitioner in building construction, or other practical experience from vocational education in construction is an advantage

To fit the role of advisor at BYN, we see that you are a driven and communicative person with a solution-oriented approach to work. As you have many points of contact in your role, we see that you are a relationship-building person who has the ability to build and maintain relationships and can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
