We are a municipal preschool area that includes eight preschools that are close to each other and nature around the corner.

We have parks, playgrounds, forests, and the city within walking distance. Because the distances are short, collaboration between the preschools is easy. At our preschools, preschool teachers and childcare workers work together in teams. We have chefs at our preschools who prepare meals, and educational lunches are included. At Artemis preschools, we work with our joint project "play ecologists". This project has a sustainability perspective with ecological integrity and biodiversity in focus.

Your role

As a substitute at Artemis preschools, you contribute to ensuring that everyday life at the preschool runs smoothly and that care and daily educational work are based on children's participation and choices. Together with colleagues at the preschool, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and for the entire group of children. In daily contact with guardians, you are engaged, child-focused, and service-oriented.

Your qualifications and experience

High school education in child and youth studies or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of the national minority languages Finnish, Meänkieli, and Sami.
• Experience working in a preschool.

As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and self-driven. Your child focus is clear, and you have a positive attitude towards your work. You collaborate with children, colleagues, and parents in a responsive and smooth manner and listen, communicate, and handle conflicts constructively. You act in accordance with decisions made, the curriculum, goals, policies, and guidelines. You are calm, stable, and professional with the judgment to focus on the right things. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities, motivation, and commitment to the position.

Other

To work in our preschools, you need to provide an extract from the police criminal record for work with children, as well as a Swedish ID or passport. After screening the most suitable candidates, interviews will be conducted, and references will be requested.
