About the Workplace

The Social Administration in Håbo is responsible for all activities within individual and family care in the municipality.

Our areas of operation include, among other things, authority exercise for children, youth, and adults, financial assistance, addiction and social psychiatry, our youth centers, labor market initiatives, as well as housing and daily support. We also work preventively and in close collaboration with other actors to create safety and participation for the municipality's residents.

This position will belong to the authority unit for Financial Assistance and Domestic Violence with exit programs, FUT, and estate handling. Our target group is adults aged 18 and over. We are a total of 8 social workers, one therapist, one team leader, and one unit manager.

The unit is led based on the organization's values of trust, collaboration, and learning, aiming to continuously develop in our professional roles and to enhance the operations. We work in line with the new social services act, focusing on increased accessibility and preventive measures as well as evidence-based interventions. The administration has also begun implementing Signs of Safety across all areas of operation.

We are entering an exciting development phase and are now looking for someone who wants to help lead our operations forward.

Your Responsibilities

As a team leader within financial assistance and domestic violence, you will lead a team of 8 caseworkers and one therapist. You will work closely with the unit manager. Together with the group, you are responsible for quality, work environment, and development in the operations. Your main responsibilities as a team leader are to:

  • Be a present support in daily work and coach employees
  • Ensure that work is conducted lawfully, efficiently, and according to applicable governing documents
  • Lead team meetings
  • Be responsible for routines: writing, updating, and following up
  • Assist the unit manager in recruitment, introduction, and replace during absence if necessary
  • Participate in collaboration with internal and external parties
  • Represent the unit in court in individual cases
  • Assist with statistics, key figures, and system support (super user)
  • Handle particularly complex cases together with employees
  • Follow up documentation and quality together with the unit manager
  • Be a good role model and ambassador for the operations

Qualifications

You are a trained social worker with several years of experience working with authority exercise for Financial Assistance and Domestic Violence. It is advantageous if you have held a leadership role in the field and have experience leading other caseworkers.
