The Health and Care Administration provides service, support, care, and assistance to the elderly and persons with disabilities, and is responsible for regulatory activities according to current legislation. The administration operates within elderly care, LSS, social psychiatry, health care, support for relatives, and regulatory activities. All work is performed with the resident in focus based on the value foundation; respect, participation, trust, and security. The meeting place is a lively gathering spot where community, activity, and well-being are at the center. We offer seniors a meaningful everyday life through social activities, health-promoting initiatives, and opportunities for new contacts. The operation is an important part of the municipality's preventive work to counteract involuntary loneliness and promote an active and independent life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an activity coordinator, you will plan, coordinate, and implement activities based on the participants' needs and wishes, both independently and together with colleagues.

The work includes, among other things:

• planning and leading activities such as gymnastics, games, cultural elements, discussion groups, study circles, entertainment, and excursions
• creating social community and participation at the meeting place
• arranging theme days and celebrating holidays
• collaborating with associations, volunteer organizations, and other actors
• conducting outreach work to reach individuals experiencing loneliness, anxiety, or social isolation
• contributing to the development of the operation and new working methods
• participating in health-promoting work, for example regarding welfare technology, lifestyle, and brain health (the Finger model)

The position is scheduled for daytime Monday to Friday. Working hours may be adjusted according to the needs of the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• An education that the employer deems relevant, for example in leisure leadership, social work, health and wellness, pedagogy, or behavioral science.
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.

Desirable experiences:

• Experience working with seniors, leisure activities, or health-promoting work.
• Experience in group leadership or activity planning.
• Experience in motivational interviewing.
• Knowledge of health-promoting work.
• Knowledge of the Social Services Act.
• Good computer skills and interest in digital technology.

You are a person who:

• Is social and relationship-building.
• Takes initiative and works independently.
• Enjoys working in a team.
• Is creative and solution-oriented.
• Has a genuine interest in people and activities.
• Enjoys planning and implementing activities.
• Has the ability to create security and participation and to adapt activities to individual needs. You are willing to try new working methods and contribute to the development of the operation.
