Support for Self-Sufficiency (SEF) works to reduce social exclusion and strengthen the opportunities for residents of Södertälje to live an independent life. As a job consultant with us, you will help create conditions for individuals receiving social assistance to take steps towards self-sufficiency. In our unit, we offer health-promoting, skill-enhancing, and social interventions conducted in groups, and your main tasks will be to plan and lead daily group activities together with your colleagues. The unit consists of a results unit manager, two group leaders, and 16 job consultants.

Your Responsibilities

As a job consultant with us, you play an important role in both leading and further developing daily group activities as well as in individual meetings with each participant. A central part of your work is to motivate, empower, and guide participants so that they have the opportunity to develop their abilities, with a fundamental belief that every person can grow with the right support. You will closely collaborate with social workers in social assistance and together with the participant develop a clear and sustainable plan that you will regularly follow up on to ensure the right support over time.

Your role also includes contributing to the development of the organization together with colleagues, group leaders, and the results unit manager. The work involves daily contact with people from various backgrounds and needs, which requires you to be confident, empathetic, attentive, and flexible in your approach.

You will be part of a team of nine job consultants, and your duties will include:
- Planning, leading, and following up on daily group activities related to health, work life, everyday Swedish, and digitalization together with your colleagues.
- Being responsible for activities for a number of participants, which includes individual follow-ups, documentation of agreed plans, and close dialogue with job consultants and social workers.
- Motivating participants and together with them creating conditions for them to eventually achieve self-sufficiency.

You have a good ability to engage and motivate others, and you see each individual based on their strengths and opportunities. In the role of job consultant, you feel confident working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, and you appreciate contributing to a positive and supportive team spirit. You are flexible and solution-focused, even when circumstances change. At the same time, you value structure and clarity in your work and find it easy to create order, plan, and follow up.

Requirements:
- You have a university degree as a social worker, occupational therapist, or another relevant academic qualification deemed equivalent.
- You have experience working with individuals who are far from the labor market.
- Good computer skills and experience in documentation.

Meritorious:
- You have training and experience in MI (Motivational Interviewing) and BIP.
