About Medartuum AB
Medartuum is a market-leading player in Sweden specializing in parallel import of pharmaceuticals within the EU with a broad portfolio of over 600 products. We do not manufacture our own medicines but instead adapt the packaging and package inserts for the Swedish market. A requirement for introducing products to the Swedish market is a marketing authorization for each product and each country of origin. A license granted by the national medical authority LV (Läkemedelsverket) in Sweden, or by EMA (European Medicines Agency).
With continued growth in the Nordic market and plans for expansion in Europe, we are now looking for an engaged and competent person for our purchasing department.
About the role
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing organization within the pharmaceutical sector. The role is based in Gothenburg, and you will report directly to the purchasing manager while working closely with colleagues in purchasing, sales, and research.
As a purchaser, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining supplier relationships in Europe, focusing on optimizing the purchasing process and creating value for the business. Your work will include both operational and strategic efforts, and you will have the opportunity to travel for work to strengthen collaborations and identify new business opportunities.
Your tasks will include:
- Responsible for purchasing pharmaceuticals from multiple suppliers and countries in Europe.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and develop your European network.
- Daily communication with suppliers via email and phone to ensure effective collaboration.
- Negotiate prices and quantities to optimize value and efficiency.
- Participate in trade fairs and supplier visits to identify opportunities and strengthen collaborations. 2-3 travel days/month
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and research, to ensure that purchasing strategies align with business goals.
- Make data-driven decisions based on forecasts, margins, and inventory levels to optimize the supply chain.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a post-secondary education in relevant purchasing
- Has gained a few years of experience in a similar role
- Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
It is advantageous if you
- Speak and write additional European languages
- Have a background in purchasing or procurement, especially in industries with fast-moving consumer goods or pharmaceuticals.

About the employment
This is a recruitment where you will be employed by Medartuum AB with an initial probationary period. Please attach both your CV and cover letter with your application. - Scope: Full-time, office hours
- Start: According to agreement, the ambition is to start as soon as possible
