The Role of Preparedness Coordinator

Region Jönköping County is looking for someone with experience in crisis preparedness and civil defense. You have a higher education in social sciences, engineering, or another equivalent field, preferably with a focus on crisis preparedness. Experience in crisis preparedness, continuity management, organizational development, or project management within the public sector is an advantage.

A large part of the work involves planning and project managing various sub-projects within civil preparedness for public transport, as well as region-wide in other contexts. It is advantageous if you have experience in civil preparedness and strategic work within transport or public transport.

The position is a permanent full-time employment and is placed in a security class. Swedish citizenship and a successful background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) are required before employment.

Your Profile

In this role, you will be part of our team of preparedness coordinators, led by the preparedness manager. You will work closely with various functions within Region Jönköping County as well as external authorities and community actors participating in the planning for civil preparedness. Your main tasks include supporting organizations in their continuity management and preparedness planning, as well as contributing to Region Jönköping County's overall preparedness capability.

The work involves travel, which requires a B driver's license.

Your Future Workplace

The area of environment, preparedness, and security consists of about 35 employees who together represent a broad competence in environment, preparedness, security, and surveillance. We are organized into three units: the Environmental Unit, Preparedness and Security, and Surveillance. You will report to the operations manager.
