Then our training is right for you. For two years, you will study for a teaching degree while working with a salary at a school. Today, the conditions in schools are unequal and the teacher shortage is far too high. With your knowledge, you can make a difference for the students!

About the leadership program

As a program participant, you will undergo a work-integrated pedagogical education that we conduct together with Luleå University of Technology. During the program, you will work four days a week at a school and have one day set aside for studies.

To make you the best teacher and leader in the classroom, you will also receive leadership training and a personal leadership developer who will coach you throughout the two years of the program. After the education, you will be able to continue as a teacher or take on other leadership roles.

As a participant in our program, you will receive

• Employment as a regular teacher with a salary
• A unique leadership training and personal leadership developer
• Practical experience working four days a week at a secondary school
• A paid day set aside for studies each week to study pedagogy remotely
• Be part of an international community where everyone works to create an equitable school
• After completing the program, you will receive a teaching degree and can apply for teaching certification

Your qualifications to become qualified

• You need a subject or vocational degree comprising at least 180 credits in one of the subjects we recruit in. These are mathematics, technology, physics, biology, chemistry, or languages.
• Good knowledge of Swedish
• The will to make a difference for students

About Teach for Sweden

Teach for Sweden is a non-profit organization that was started in 2013 due to declining school results in Swedish schools. 1 in 7 students graduate from ninth grade without eligibility for high school. At the same time, nearly one in three teachers is unqualified in primary school today. We recruit participants who want to make a difference and train them to become skilled teachers and leaders. Together, we create a school where all children, regardless of background, have a chance to succeed and choose their own future.
